500+ Volunteers Turn Out For Mansfield Spring Cleaning

April 2018 – The weather was gorgeous and so were the 500+ volunteers who turned out for the 11th annual Great Mansfield Cleanup on April 28.

Volunteers spanned out across all corners of town to clean up the litter and trash that accumulated along roadsides and other public spaces over the winter. This year, we collected well over 1,000 empty nip bottles. These items are not only unsightly, but it makes one wonder how many people are driving while drinking hard liquor. To help reduce nip litter, please join the 2,500+ people who have already signed Keep Massachusetts Beautiful’s petition in support of a 5-cent deposit on nip bottles.

Thank you again to all our loyal volunteers, the Xfinity Center for hosting our celebration lunch, and to the many local businesses that support our efforts.
