Volunteers from the boy scouts, cub scouts, girl scouts, daisy troops, religious groups, Mansfield High School, local businesses, as well as plenty of local families all pitched in to help. We also had a youth group from Congressman Joseph P. Kennedy’s office, as well as support from State Senator James Timilty and State Representative Jay Barrows. Afterwards, more than 200 people enjoyed a celebratory lunch at the Xfinity Center VIP tent.

The overall volume of trash collected was estimated at about three tons, which included the usual assortment of empty “nip” bottles and other alcoholic beverage containers, as well as cigarette litter, losing lottery tickets, and plastic and Styrofoam beverage containers. We hope that someday there will no need for litter cleanups, but until that day comes, we thank our loyal volunteers for helping to keep Mansfield litter-free. Keep Mansfield Beautiful also wishes to thank our financial sponsors for their ongoing support.
